System & Application Engineer

Company:

MasterSearch are currently working with a German based, leader in Semiconductors and sensors used primarily in the Automotive industry.

Our client is looking for a technical, customer focused, System & Application Engineer for the Automotive Lighting Business unit.

Reporting line – Group Application Leader

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible contact for our customers for technical questions within the automotive lighting business unit
• Collection and generation of suitable market and development trends including documentation and communication to all relevant business line functions
• Deriving new technical product requirements and actively contributing to the definition of system acceptance tests and the implementation of product validations at system level
• Implementation of comprehensive product presentations internally and externally
• Creation of product documentation, demonstrations, and general sales tools for internal and external customers
• On-site customer visits to drive design in opportunities and increase demand for the customers products

Profile:

• Completed degree in electrical engineering or comparable
• A strong professional experience as an application engineer in the automotive industry or semiconductor industry
• Ideally knowledge of hardware PCB design, dealing with software protocols and in vehicle networking (LIN/CAN/CAN-FD, ETHERNET), practical experience with FPGA system level testing and programming (python or equivalent)
• Knowledge of functional safety, IS026262 processes and cyber security is an advantage
• Structured and clear communication required with customers and multicultural interpersonal skills is an advantage
• Willingness to innovate, be reliable and the ability to work within a team

Languages:

Fluent in English is a must, German skills are a bonus
