Software Segment Lead

Company:

MasterSearch are currently working with a German based, leader in Semiconductors and sensors used primarily in the Automotive industry.

Our client is looking for a Software Segment Lead to manage all software activities for a product Segment within the Automotive industry.

Reporting line – Vice President of Software

Main responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the entire software lifecycle from innovation to production, testing/validation to maintenance
• Development and continuous adjustment of the roadmap for next-gen software applications in close coordination with the respective segment manager
• Close cooperation with the Project Management Office in leading the software development along the established software development process involving internal and external resources
• Intensive cooperation and coordination with the respective segment, IC design and other areas such as system architecture, quality management and purchasing
• Participation in the continuous development of processes, standards and tools in the area of software development and architecture

Profile:

• Degree in natural or engineering sciences with a focus on computer sciences (at least Bachelor’s degree or comparable)
• 5 years of relevant experience in either Automotive or Semiconductor or in software development and at least 2 years of successful project management
• Practical experience in software development
• Relevant experience in embedded or edge software development (possibly also ARM Development Studio, C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, SystemC), ASPICE
• High level of persuasiveness and implementation skills to inspire customers, teams and partners to work together and work successfully
• Willingness to innovate, reliability and the ability to work in a team

Languages:

Fluent in English is a must, German skills ideally but not a must
