Sales Engineer

MasterSearch are currently working with a large global power management company, who are looking for a Sales Engineer based in Austria.

As a Sales Engineer Commercial & Industrial Building, you will be responsible for specifying and anchoring the companies products and solutions in Commercial & Industrial Building projects. An additional focus is the development of a planner network as well as the support and coordination of projects in the Commercial and Industrial Building segments throughout the entire project life cycle.

Main responsibilities:

  • The systematic expansion of market share and turnover as well as the acquisition of new customers is the goal of your daily work in sales
  • Looking after existing customers in your sales area with the aim of securing and expanding the business and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • In addition, you will face the task of systematically winning new customers with a focus on project business
  • Support marketing activities such as the planning, organization and implementation of product presentations, training and sales promotion measures
  • Participation in regional and national trade fairs is a matter of course for you
  • Responsible for tracking offers and coordinating projects for commercial and industrial buildings throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • You know the importance of your network in the area of planning offices and are constantly building and developing it.
  • Carrying out market, trend and customer analysis as well as ongoing market observation is a matter of course for you
  • You work out solutions for customer-specific product applications together with the product specialists.
  • All relevant customer and project data is recorded and documented by you in CRM and of course you create regular visit and special reports on important market information as well as a monthly forecast.
  • Responsible for sales and earnings for the business transactions that are significantly influenced via the various sales channels. Therefore, according to the catalog of powers of attorney, you are in charge of conducting award negotiations and agreeing terms and conditions.

Profile:

  • Electrotechnical or general technical training, e.g. completed electrical engineering apprenticeship and/or HTL, bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or energy engineering
  • Relevant, several years of professional experience of three to five years in the sale of electrotechnical products and systems
  • Understanding of project development, planning and tendering processes
  • Solution orientation and technical solution competence
  • Experience with tendering tools and platforms
  • Project management skills
  • Customer-oriented thinking and acting
  • Communicative and open-minded personality with a high degree of team spirit, organizational and negotiating skills
  • Analytical, structured and solution-oriented thinking skills as well as independent, methodical and precise working methods.
