Procurement Manager

Company:

MasterSearch are currently working with a large global power management company who are growing fast.

Our client is looking for a Procurement Operations Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for the supplier demand planning and delivery and will also be a Manager of People and the leader that directs the entire SCM organisation.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for supplier delivery on time, inventory levels through the supply chain while supporting quality and cost
• Establish Supplier capacity planning model including constraint management in collaboration with the SIOP team
• Work closely with Supplier Quality and Supplier Delivery team
• Responsible for cost out and delivery project initiation and time lines
• Responsible for the Management of ECN and MPS changes which affect the direct material in the supply chain, while working closely with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality and Supplier Development teams
• Ensures appropriate performance measure (Quality, Cost and Delivery) of supply base and feedback of results
• Ensure that all Health & Safety standards and requirements are met and a safe working environment is promoted within the site
• Implement and execute projects related to the commodity strategy to support divisional cost, quality, delivery, supplier reduction, and sourcing goals
• Manage supplier compliance and communications associated with the company corporate initiatives

Profile:

• Previous experience in a buying role ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in managing a team, further training will be provided
• Full knowledge and understanding of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic (for example MFGPro)
• Thorough understanding of SCM operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control
• Solid negotiation skills
• Demonstrated project leadership success
• Results and detailed oriented
