Key Account Manager – Germany

MasterSearch are currently working with a global mobility-tech company partnering with OEMs to revolutionise the automotive landscape.

Our client is looking for a German Market focused Sales Manager. In this strategic role, your focus will be on expanding our clients footprint in the German market, driving new business, nurturing customer relationships, and implementing growth strategies.

Reporting line – VP of Sales

Main responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Customer Relationship Management. Take a holistic approach to managing customer relationships, ensuring the expansion of existing accounts within the German market
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders in German organizations to understand their unique needs and deliver customized solutions
  • Strategic Sales Ownership. Develop and implement targeted sales strategies, specifically tailored for the German market, with the aim of surpassing set targets
  • Spearhead initiatives to establish the company as a premier provider within the automotive industry in German
  • Market Insight and Business Development. Conduct thorough analyses of the German automotive market, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential challenges
  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities within the German automotive sector
  • Lead negotiations for contracts and pricing, considering the competitive landscape
  • Ensure agreements align with both the business objectives and the specific needs of clients
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products, ensuring a deep technical knowledge
  • Conduct compelling technical demonstrations, showcasing how solutions align with the specific requirements of German OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
  • Take ownership of the RFQ/RFI process, ensuring timely and accurate responses tailored to German market requirements
  • Prepare detailed and insightful sales reports and forecasts, emphasizing key performance indicators specific to the German market
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on market trends and customer feedback

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a deep understanding of the cultural nuances within the German business environment
  • Experience in infotainment product sales or similar product groups, development, and integration within the German automotive market
  • Proven success in closing substantial deals ($5M+) specifically within the Germany automotive industry
  • Established relationships with German Tier 1s and OEMs
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
