Key Account Manager – Automotive

Company:

MasterSearch are currently working with the machine division of a world-leading provider of sustainable productivity applications. Their solutions are a key part of most industries – Automotive, electronics, renewable energy, food production, infrastructure and many more.

Our client is looking for a Key Account Manager to join their market leading machine division and dynamic sales team. You will be responsible for managing a very important OEM customer within the Automotive industry.

Reporting line – Sales Director Automotive

Main responsibilities:

  • Consultative sales of capital equipment / Machine Vision systems for a vital OEM customer
  • Responsible for the entire offering and contract negotiation process up to successful conclusion

    through continuous visits to customers

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain a value proposition to varying levels of an organization
  • Identify new key account decision makers and build strategic relationships with the new and current
  • Analyse the market and competitive situation in order to define customer potential
  • Work with the customer and the internal team (engineering, sales- and product-management) to

    ensure the equipment meets or exceeds the customer requirements

  • Provide market feedback and competition benchmark information to marketing and product development teams
  • Create a yearly business plan that outlines the key growth initiatives, strategic goals and tactics for the assigned customer as well as a comprehensive market analysis for all potential sources of revenue

Profile:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration or related field
  • At least 3+ years of technical sales / account management experience of products and systems
  • Machine vision or equipment / Machinery sales within the Automotive industry would be

    beneficial but not a must

  • Proven experience in managing an OEM Key Account
  • Effective communication skills in English and in German to establish customer rapport and acceptance
  • The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
