Embedded Software Engineer

MasterSearch are currently working with one of the leading international manufacturers of sensors and measuring instruments for factory and process automation.

Our client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team Your area of responsibility will be the preliminary and further development of their (embedded) product software and software components for embedded system devices.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, implementation and verification of embedded software in C for our encoders
• Analysis and documentation of the software requirements
• Development of algorithms for sensor signal processing including implementation of code reviews
• Creation of unit and system tests
• Interdisciplinary product development in a team with electronic and mechanical developers
• Cooperation with software development teams in other locations

Profile:

• A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, (technical) computer science, communications engineering or a comparable engineering science
• Very good knowledge of embedded programming in C, ideally of ARM Cortex-M controllers
• Experience in firmware development, also gladly acquired in the context of internships and theses
• Knowledge of control engineering, signal processing and the development of analog or digital circuits is advantageous
• Experience in programming with real-time operating systems such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS
• Distinct solution orientation as well as communication and team skills
• Knowledge of version control, preferably with Git
• Knowledge of electrical drives would be an advantage

Fluent in English and minimum B2 German
