Account Manager – Drives & Automation

MasterSearch are currently working with a globally leading automation company with excellent solution experience as a systems provider.

Our client is looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Account Manager to be responsible for customers within the Drives and Automation segment across Netherlands Belgium and Luxembourg.

Reporting line – Sales Manager Europe

Main responsibilities:

  • Seeking out, identifying, visiting and winning new customers in order to expand the existing customer base
  • To drive and achieve growth with system solution sales
  • Managing south projects in collaboration with the project manager and application departments
  • Obtaining information from the market and from customers, understanding the needs of the market and knowing what the customer wants to achieve
  • Be familiar with the USP’s of competitors and successfully use this knowledge to the advantage of the company
  • Positioning the company has the right partner for the target customers
  • Improving customer interest in the company as an organisation, products and solutions
  • Searching for open window identification of systems with support from the business consultant systems where necessary
  • To make a SWOT analysis of the market, customers and competitors
  • Successfully executing the account plans and discussing progress with the sales manager
  • Work closely with the internal sales team so that quotations can be drawn up and information can be recorded in ERP/SAP
  • Share acquired market knowledge with the entire organisation so they can continue to ensure that they offer the best technical solution for the customer
  • Technical Support for fellow account managers if required
  • Making a positive contribution to achieve in as close to 100% customer satisfaction

Profile:

  • Completed studies in a technical topic, ideally Software Engineering, industrial automation, Mechanical engineering related (but not a must)
  • Excellent knowledge of automation, machine and process control industries
  • Understands trends such as TCO, ROI, 0EE and digital strategy and digitalisation
  • Ability to build a healthy lasting relationship with customers, works in a customer orientated way and take responsibility for the customer and sets boundaries
  • Focuses on the customers buying process, knows how to devise an implement actions to achieve targets and win projects
  • Understands the impact for an OEM when switching to a new system
  • Has excellent communication skills to work with customers at multiple levels from engineer to C level
  • Ability to detect the needs of the customer and to give sufficient input to the customer to switch to the company system
  • Knows how to prevent mistakes and be a problem solver when they do happen
